Get involved with Solenne

Vibrant Health Advocates – Solenne runs on the commitment of people who believe that unpaid carers in Alloa deserve real, sustained support — not just a website or a helpline number.

Every contribution directly shapes what we can offer

Whether you have time to give, skills to share, or resources to contribute, there is a meaningful place for you alongside our work. We are a small organisation and every contribution directly shapes what we can offer to carers across Clackmannanshire.

Solenne receives no core statutory funding and relies entirely on grants and the commitment of individuals, businesses, and partner organisations to keep our services free and accessible at the point of need. When you volunteer, donate, or partner with us, you are not supporting an abstraction — you are enabling a specific carer in Alloa to take a breath.

Volunteer as a Buddy

If you have lived experience of caring, or simply the warmth and reliability to offer someone a consistent, understanding presence, we would love to hear from you. Buddies receive full training, ongoing supervision, and the genuine satisfaction of watching someone regain their footing.

Donate

Solenne receives no core statutory funding and relies on grants and individual donations to sustain our services. A regular gift of any size helps us plan ahead and keep our Respite Navigation Service and Buddy Network fully staffed and free at the point of need.

Partner with Us

We work with GP practices, pharmacies, employers, and local businesses across Clackmannanshire to reach carers earlier and more effectively. If your organisation wants to support the unpaid carers among your patients, customers, or staff, we can help you do that well.

More than giving time — it is giving something real

"Alloa is a town that takes care of its own. The demand for Buddy matches continues to outpace our volunteer numbers."

All Buddies complete Solenne's twelve-hour training programme, covering active listening, understanding carer stress, local referral pathways, and safeguarding. You will never be left without support, and you will always have a named person to turn to.
